The following is just a selection of events which will take place during 2020. We are keen to help promote such events and will assist guests, where we can, in arranging transport to the events, undercover storage of cycles and motorcycles, drying of wetsuits, equipment etc.. Please contact us for more information.
We are also looking to link up with other guest houses in the Lake District to provide guests with two and three resort holidays and adventures. Please contact us with your preferred venues and dates and we will arrange accommodation. The individual guest houses will require a deposit to secure the booking.

Keswick Film Festival 2020
The next Keswick Film Festival will be held between Friday 27th February to Sunday 1st March 2020. Aerial Festival 2020
Aerial is a new festival of contemporary music, literature and performance, taking place in the stunning landscape of The Lake District in March 2020. Hazeldene Guest House is ideally located for those looking for accommodation near the performances.

Dads Army Roadshow at the Old Laundry Theatre
The Old Laundry Theatre is the venue for the Dad's Army Roadshow on 1st March 2020. Perry and Croft's classic BBC sitcom brought gloriously to life, lovingly enacted by two master performers. David Benson (Goodnight Sweetheart and One Man, Two Guvnors) and Jack Lane (Wisdom of a Fool and 7 Days) transport the audience right back to Walmington, working from original radio scripts - complete with sound effects, vintage music and all of Perry and Croft's beloved characters and catchphrases.

Lakeland Loop Cycle Sportive
Sunday 19th April is the date for this challenging 69 mile cycle ride starting from Great Langdale. Hazeldene Guest House has a secure, locked area for cycles for those looking for comfortable accommodation to return to after taking part in this event.

Sunday 10th May - Lake District Double Orienteering Championship
Northern Championship 2020 - High Dam. This event is Day 2 of the Lake District Double Championship Weekend. It is prime orienteering terrain which will test your navigation skills.
Keswick Mountain Festival - Friday 15th May to Sunday 17th May

Friday 5th to Saturday 6th June - Keswick Beer Festival
Over 200 very special beers and ciders (and one or two other favourite tipples of loyal Keswick Beer Festival regulars). Excellent bands on both Friday and Saturday night with a great festival atmosphere both inside the huge marquee and outside on the green grass of the Keswick Rugby Club. 5th to 7th June on Lake Windermere - Great North SwimRun ( Macmillan)
SwimRun is based on teamwork, passion, and closeness to nature. Teams of two embark on a seamless journey across the landscape, taking on land and water, as they navigate their way around the Short, Middle and Endurance distances.
The John West Great North SwimRun is an opportunity to ditch the roads and the pool;limber up and embrace an off-road, open-water island-hopping adventure!
Lake District Ultra Challenge - Saturday 13th Sunday 14th June
New for 2020 - Our Challenge Base Camp is in Kendal. From there it's a 100km anticlockwise loop taking in a couple of tough hills, Ambleside, a half way point by Lake Windermere, forests, and nature reserves - with some stunning views enroute - before a huge welcome and celebration back at Base Camp after a momentous journey.
